HI - I'M ANGIE
- I started Of Life & Lemons in 2011 by opening an Etsy shop. I'd been designing prints while my newborn was napping - anything to avoid the cleaning! I had completed a fine art painting degree some years earlier but found there wasn't enough time during naps to get the paints out so I dabbled in graphic design which was less messy and involved less cleaning up. Did I mention I avoided cleaning?
- Before having kids I worked in art publishing for 10 years, sourcing imagery for greetings cards and wall art products to be sold in IKEA and high street stores such as Next and WH Smith.
- In 2014 I was granted a license by National Rail to produce a series of products based on the train ticket. When I came up with the idea my husband said no one would want to put a train ticket on their wall. That was the last time I asked his opinion.
- I design all of the products on the site. I'm always badgering people to help me with puns. No one is safe.
- My proudest moments from are having some prints stocked in Urban Outfitters and Selfridges - plus Holly and Phil discussing one of my products on This Morning of course!
